Your Generosity Provided a Place for Sheila to Feel Connected

Good-natured, funny, enthusiastic – these are all words that describe Sheila, a client at Landis Adult Day Services. Last year, Sheila began attending ADS two days a week.

Sheila was used to being active. A mother of three children with grandchildren and now great-grandchildren, she spent years working in nursing and other jobs. But she experienced some health challenges that forced her to stop working and was spending too much time home alone. Being unable to work was difficult.

“My husband still works so I would be home alone a lot. My daughter and my family found ADS and have supported me coming here. I like everybody. I like exercising, the arts and crafts, doing puzzles, playing BINGO, and the staff is really nice. Being around groups of people is great and the food is good too,” Sheila shared.
