Landis Home and Community-Based Services today announced the addition of two board members.  Landis HCBS, an affiliate of Landis Communities delivers a comprehensive array of integrated services to allow individuals to age with dignity wherever they call home. The new persons named to the board are Willonda McCloud and Brent Keener.

Willonda McCloud serves as President & CEO of Bright Side Opportunities Center in Lancaster.  The center is an outgrowth of Bright Side Baptist Church and is an independent non-profit social service offering a wide variety of health, social service and educational programs for people of all ages. The Bright Side Opportunities Corporation works collaboratively with many Lancaster health and social service providers to operate vital programs that serve the entire community. She brings a wealth of experience on other boards and extensive knowledge of Lancaster City and community as well as knowing how to connect to human resources in the community.

Willonda looks forward to joining the board, saying, “I am excited about this opportunity as I have been interested in how we age and now have had the personal experience with my mother as she aged in place; and how her resources affected some of the care she received.”

Brent Keener is Vice President of Human Resources for Hospice and Community Care, located in Lancaster and York counties.  Hospice & Community Care provides personalized care and comfort to help patients and families live better with serious illness through end of life. The organization provides medical, emotional and spiritual support for adults and children of all ages with any serious illness who have weeks or months rather than years to live. In addition, Brent also has board experience with the Lancaster chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management.

Keener comments, “My role at Hospice & Community Care gives me a unique perspective on the communication and leadership opportunities of leading staff and volunteers toward a common goal. I am glad to bring these skills and perspectives to support the mission of Landis HCBS.”

Board chair Jacqueline Burch welcomes the new members saying, “On behalf of Landis’ HCBS board, we are most pleased to have Willonda McCloud and Brent Keener join us. We look forward to the knowledge and experience both will bring, contributing greatly to the board’s perspective and work.”
