Landis Quality Living recently announced the addition of a new board member. Landis Quality Living’s Mission is to provide housing with services for adults to age in place and thrive in community.

Melissa Sarnocinski, of Birdsboro, PA, brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Landis Quality Living Board. She has a degree in Business Management and has worked in the banking industry for over 20 years. Sarnocinski has held a variety of positions throughout her career, and is currently employed as an Assistant Vice President / Commercial Relationship Manager. In addition to her job experience, she has also completed the Leadership Berks Program, which is designed for Board Governance and Non-Profit Organizations.

Sarnocinski also has served on a variety of boards throughout her career. Those most notable include Neighborhood Housing Services in Berks County, and she served on the Finance and Audit Committee at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, at which she is a member.

“I believe I can support the mission and bi-laws of Landis Quality Living without conflicts,” says Melissa. “These values are important to me as a person and many of these areas also apply to my job, specifically teamwork, integrity, and accountability. I also have strong faith in God and attend church regularly.”

Keith Stuckey, Board Chair for Landis Quality Living, is delighted to add Melissa to the board saying, “We are excited to welcome Melissa Sarnocinski to the Landis Quality Living Board of Directors. Melissa brings years of relevant experience as a banking professional and an active volunteer on boards and committees that work to provide services to members of our communities who are in need, including her current service on the board of directors of Welsh Mountain Home, one of the Landis Quality Living programs providing housing, services and community-building for seniors.”

Landis Quality Living is a new organization established by Landis Communities to develop and own affordable and middle market housing in Lancaster and surrounding counties. It joins with the other parts of Landis Communities in its commitment to following God’s call to creatively serve the diverse needs and interests of older adults by developing opportunities and collaborative relationships.
